Cedar Park, located roughly 20 miles from downtown Austin, was founded in 1887 and incorporated as a city in 1973. Now the third largest city in the Austin area, Cedar Park attracts residents from all over the globe due to factors such as cost of living, average income, high employment rate, education system, and low crime rate. In fact, the national real estate brokerage firm Movato named Cedar Park the “Fifth Most Desirable Suburb in the Country,” and security corporation SafeWise has ranked it one of its “50 Safest Cities in Texas.”

Despite its rapid growth rate (more than 400 percent in the last decade), Cedar Park has retained its reputation for beautiful landscapes, being close to the Texas Hill Country and the Lower Colorado River Lake System. The city has 860 acres of land dedicated to parks and recreation. Its residents enjoy hiking, bicycling, water sports, live music, fine wine, great food, shopping, and more.

The City of Cedar Park offers tax abatements, fee reduction, infrastructure extensions, a number of incentives, loans and grants. The goal is to encourage business growth and development, as well as providing a stable economic environment for its residents. The result is a thriving and healthy fiscal environment.
